Kyle Buckland is from Wilmington, Delaware. Even from childhood he was urged to enjoy a deep understanding of the arts and nature by his parents.
He took a keen interest in the French painters and the philosophies of painting plein air after coming across John Rewald’s The History of Impressionism. The blues and purples of Monet’s work were a special passion for him as they depicted shadows and his ability to capture a colored atmosphere.
His teenage years were surrounded by mountains and lakes of Southwestern Virginia and it was these that inspired him to begin to emulate those heroes and other great painters.
As an Impressionist painter, Kyle’s style is as unique as his subject matter is inviting and he has been featured in Plein Air Magazine and won numerous awards. He also organizes paint-outs and teaches painting classes on every level.
Kyle’s work takes pride of place in both public and corporate collections worldwide and we are delighted to represent Kyle’s distinctive impasto style on AmericaContemporary.art.
