Randall Sexton, was born in New England and today is renowned throughout the US known for the color and expressive brushwork of his oil paintings of “everyday” scenes.
Director for The Irvine Museum of Art, Jean Stern named him the “Painter’s Painter for his work which, whether in the solitude of a deserted street at night, or the exultation of a beautiful landscape, moves the watcher deeply.
After graduating with a BFA from the University of CT, Storrs, Randall moved to San Francisco and has become a fixture in the Bay Area art scene. Holding a position with the San Francisco Academy of Art, SF for a decade, he now teaches private workshops and classes for clients including Pixar Studios and in 2021 he’ll be teaching at Oakland’s California College of Art.
Randall has won a multitude of awards and has been featured in several of the national journals including Southwest Art (2016) and American Art Collector (2013) and is a member of PAPA, California Art Club, The Laguna Beach Plein Air Painters Association and worked with The Baywood Artists.
